Sungrow PowerTitan 2.0 BESS First Deployment in Finland
Sungrow is partnering with Renewable Power Capital (RPC) to supply the PowerTitan 2.0 energy storage system for the Kalanti 50MW/100MWh project in Uusikaupunki, Finland. The project will begin construction in March 2025. The agreement was signed during the Energy Storage Summit 2025 in London.PowerTitan 2.0 is a liquid-cooled system that improves efficiency and extends battery life. Sungrow will supply 20 units of its 5MWh energy storage system in 20-foot containers. Sungrow will also provide Operations & Maintenance services for 15 years.
Korkia Sells UK Solar and Battery Project to NextEnergy Capital
Korkia’s joint venture, Climate ER Helio, sold the Mere Flats project to a NextEnergy Capital fund. The project will add 56MWp of solar power and 16MW of battery storage to the UK grid.Mere Flats is part of a nine-project portfolio and has received all necessary permits. It will provide renewable electricity for 20,000 households. Korkia has over 130 projects across eight countries.
Louth Callan Renewables Expands into Delaware with 213MW Solar Projects
Louth Callan Renewables is expanding into the Mid-Atlantic region with two solar projects in Delaware totaling 213MW. These projects will power about 38,000 homes annually.Founder Nick Sylvestre said the company focuses on cost-effective construction and problem-solving. The projects will create 400 jobs and generate tax revenue. Louth Callan Renewables aims to strengthen energy infrastructure and support energy independence.
City of Davis Installs Second Paired Power EV Charging Station
Paired Power installed its second PairTree solar EV charging station at Playfields Park in Davis. The station offers free public charging and operates off-grid with a one-day installation process.The system provides Level 2 charging with two ports. The project helps reduce the city’s carbon footprint and improve EV access.
