Quinbrook Secures Financing for Cleve Hill Solar Park
Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners has secured funding for Cleve Hill Solar Park, the UK’s largest solar and battery storage project. The site in Kent will have 373 MW of solar power and a 150 MW battery system, expected to start in 2025. The financing includes a GBP 218.5 million loan and a GBP 20 million VAT facility from Lloyds and NatWest. The project has secured revenue contracts, including a 15-year agreement with Tesco for 65 percent of its solar power. It is expected to cut carbon emissions by 142,000 tonnes in its first year and create over 2,500 jobs.
White Sands Missile Range Completes Microgrid Project
Ameresco and HSGS-Ameresco have finished a $10.9 million microgrid project at White Sands Missile Range. The system includes a 700kW solar array, a 500kW natural gas generator, and a 500kW battery. It ensures water wells keep running during power outages.The microgrid meets the U.S. Army’s requirement for 14-day water and power independence. It will help the base stay operational and support future energy projects. Leaders from WSMR and Ameresco praised the teamwork behind the project.
Green Rain Solar Partners with ChargeTronix for EV Charging
Green Rain Solar, a subsidiary of The Now Corporation, has partnered with ChargeTronix to expand EV charging solutions. This agreement allows Green Rain Solar to sell ChargeTronix charging stations across North America under its own brand. The company plans to install EV chargers at 13 Hilton locations to support hotel sustainability efforts.

SolRiver Starts Construction on Solar Project in North Carolina
SolRiver Capital has begun construction on its 7 MW Longleaf Solar Project in Davie County, North Carolina. The project is part of its growing Carolinas portfolio and is expected to start operations in mid-2025.SolRiver has been active in the region since 2019, with about 100 MW of solar projects completed. The company has secured panels and materials in advance to keep the project on schedule.
