Greentech Lead America: InfoRelay Online Systems, a
provider of on-demand data center and cloud hosting services, and PC Recycler,
a Federal compliant data destruction and electronics recycling firm, announced
their alliance to expand their services and customer base.
The alliance between InfoRelay and PC Recycler is
expected to allow both organizations to deliver their services and add value to
customers by offering a more complete set of services, utilizing the strengths
of both companies.
The program will allow InfoRelay’s clients, which include
Federal and commercial organizations, to dispose of hardware, drives, and other
electronic peripherals on-site at select InfoRelay data center locations.
“Forming a partnership with PC Recycler seemed as
though it would add a lot of value for our clients; many of whom have sensitive
information stored on their equipment. As our customers cycle through equipment
or replace failed hard drives, they need to ensure that sensitive data is
destroyed properly,” said Russell Weiss, president of InfoRelay.
PC Recycler will perform the asset destruction on-site to
ensure that data cannot be lost in transport. The service promises zero
landfill and zero export disposal.
“InfoRelay’s clients will benefit immensely from the
partnership with PC Recycler because we are fully mobile and will be able to
provide an ongoing data destruction outlet. We have years of experience serving
local data centers, and InfoRelay is really thinking ahead by combining their
services with a responsible, convenient, and 100 percent secure solution for
destroying old and broken storage devices, ” said Jeremy Farber, president
of PC Recycler.
InfoRelay will be deploying a hard-drive destruction program
for use by its customers in select facilities and PC Recycler will be offering
data center services through InfoRelay by Q3 of 2012.
