By Greentech Lead America: CommScope, a global
infrastructure solutions provider for communications networks, and Comsearch, a
CommScope company specializing in spectrum management services, will showcase
their complete wind power solution portfolios at the WINDPOWER 2012 Conference
and Exhibition in Atlanta next month.
WINDPOWER 2012 Conference and Exhibition is hosted by the
American Wind Energy Association, the national trade association for the U.S.
wind energy industry. CommScope and Comsearch will have interactive
demonstrations showcasing the solutions both companies have in offer for the
wind power industry.
“As the demand for energy continues to rise,
utilities are looking for new ways to provide energy to its customers while
also reducing their fossil fuel consumption, greenhouse emissions, and costs.
One way utilities are expanding their energy production is with the development
of wind farms, and CommScope is there delivering various solutions that support
wind farm developers’ infrastructure needs that extend and protect their
investment into the future,” said Ric Johnsen, senior vice president, CommScope.
CommScope will showcase its fiber optic cabling
solutions, ConQuest conduit solutions and GroundSmart Copper Clad Steel
solution, an alternative to copper grounding wire.
Comsearch’s wind energy services address the siting
challenges resulting from complex telecommunications issues. Comsearch offers
mitigation solutions to wind developers that address potential issues such as
licensed microwave analysis, AM/FM and TV analysis and baseline measurements.

in pact with Redwood Systems to integrate building-performance lighting
Recently, CommScope partnered with Redwood Systems
to integrate building-performance lighting into its Intelligent Building
Infrastructure Solution platform. Redwood runs its platform over a low-voltage
networking infrastructure, and deploys a fine grain sensor network that
measures temperature, occupancy and light levels.
