Plural Brings More Than $1 Billion of Energy and Compute Infrastructure to Capital Markets
Infrastructure financing platform Plural says it brought more than $1 billion of energy and compute infrastructure assets to market during the past 12 months, reflecting rising capital requirements for distributed generation, storage and power-intensive infrastructure. The company is managing 25 active mandates and says its financing processes have engaged more than 130 institutional investors and lenders. Plural works with developers to structure combinations of project equity, debt, tax equity and preferred capital, while its software manages covenants, distributions, compliance and reporting through the life of an asset. Since its 2024 launch, investor term sheets across Plural mandates have represented more than $600 million of proposed capital. Its pipeline spans distributed and community solar, battery storage, EV charging and energy-linked compute infrastructure.
Hoymiles Launches 22 kW Bidirectional EV Charger for V2H, V2G and Virtual Power Plants
Hoymiles has introduced a 22 kW bidirectional DC charger designed to connect electric vehicles directly with residential battery systems, homes and electricity grids. The charger integrates with the company’s HiOne all-in-one BESS and supports both vehicle-to-home and vehicle-to-grid operations, allowing EV batteries to provide backup electricity or participate in virtual power plants. Hoymiles says the unit can deliver up to 22 kW DC charging, providing roughly 110 km of driving range per hour, compared with around 35 km per hour from conventional AC charging under its comparison assumptions. The system supports approximately 95 percent of mainstream EV models, incorporates an EU MID-compliant electricity meter and carries IP65 and IK10 protection ratings for outdoor installations.
Sungrow Unveils 10–25 kW Hybrid Inverter With 250% Solar Oversizing and 0 ms Backup Switching
Sungrow has launched its new MGTL three-phase hybrid inverter series for residential and commercial solar-plus-storage systems across Southeast Asia, Africa and Latin America. The portfolio covers power ratings from 10 kW to 25 kW and supports PV-array oversizing of up to 250 percent, allowing customers to connect considerably more solar-panel capacity than the inverter’s nominal AC rating. The system provides 0-millisecond transfer between grid-connected and backup operation, supports 200 percent three-phase unbalanced output, and offers battery charge/discharge current of up to 440 A. Sungrow says the inverter can withstand 200 percent AC overload for 10 seconds. Selected models operate at approximately 35 dB, while safety features include AFCI protection covering cable distances up to 200 metres and IP66 environmental protection.
