Today’s latest renewable energy news includes announcements from Renewable America, HyperStrong, RCT Power, Eco Wave Power, and others.
Renewable America Completes 1.9-MW Solar Portfolio for Pearl Crop
Renewable America has completed a 1.9-MWdc commercial solar portfolio for Pearl Crop, a California-based food processing company, helping the business reduce energy costs and advance its sustainability goals. The projects span four solar installations across three locations in Ripon, Linden, and Stockton, California, supporting the company’s energy-intensive almond and walnut processing operations. A key innovation of the project was Renewable America’s turnkey approach, serving as both developer and EPC contractor while optimizing system design to secure the more favorable NEM 2.0 incentives before California’s transition to NEM 3.0. The company also addressed technical challenges including roof load assessments, shading optimization, and leak prevention to protect food processing facilities. The largest installation in Stockton is expected to provide 86 percent of the site’s electricity needs and generate approximately USD 230,000 in annual utility savings. Across all four sites, the solar systems will reduce operating costs, increase energy independence, and lower carbon emissions. The project demonstrates how distributed solar energy can help industrial customers improve profitability while meeting environmental targets, supporting California’s clean energy transition and broader carbon neutrality objectives.
HyperStrong and RCT Power Form Smart Manufacturing Joint Venture for Battery Storage Systems in Malaysia
HyperStrong and RCT Power Energy Technology have signed a strategic joint venture agreement during The smarter E Europe 2026 to establish smart manufacturing capabilities for battery energy storage systems (BESS) in Malaysia. The partnership marks HyperStrong’s first overseas manufacturing initiative and is designed to strengthen localized production, improve supply chain resilience, and accelerate deployment of advanced energy storage solutions across Southeast Asia. The companies aim to combine HyperStrong’s expertise in energy storage technologies with RCT Power’s experience in residential and commercial energy solutions. Malaysia will serve as a regional manufacturing hub supporting growing demand for battery storage driven by renewable energy expansion and grid modernization. The agreement reflects increasing global investment in localized clean energy manufacturing.
Eco Wave Power Raises $4 Million in Premium Financing to Expand Wave Energy Projects Eco Wave Power has closed a strategic financing worth $4.0 million to accelerate global wave energy projects and AI-driven technology development. The financing was completed through the sale of 400,000 American Depositary Shares at $10.00 per share, representing a 10.7 percent premium to the company’s previous Nasdaq closing price. The investment came from a single institutional investor and is expected to strengthen Eco Wave Power’s balance sheet while supporting commercial deployment of its onshore wave energy technology. The company plans to use the proceeds to expand international projects, enhance artificial intelligence capabilities for energy optimization, and support continued commercialization of wave energy systems as demand for renewable power infrastructure increases globally.
