Octopus Invests €584 mn in European Wind Portfolio

Octopus Energy Generation has invested €584 million to acquire 321MW of onshore wind assets across 17 sites in France, Germany and Poland. The investment, made through the Sky fund, supports expansion of renewable energy capacity across key European markets. The portfolio includes operational and under-construction projects capable of generating enough electricity to power more than 250,000 homes annually. France accounts for 143.5MW across 10 sites, Germany contributes 102.5MW from four projects, and Poland adds 75MW from three operational wind farms. The acquisition highlights strong investment momentum in Europe’s clean energy transition and innovation in cross-border renewable infrastructure. The projects are expected to strengthen energy security, reduce dependence on fossil fuels, and deliver long-term economic and environmental benefits through affordable, locally generated clean power.

Ampyr and Climate Fund Commission 67MW Solar Project in India

Climate Fund Managers and Ampyr Energy have commissioned the 67.5MWp Somasamudra Phase 1 solar plant in Karnataka, India. The project, developed under the Ampyr Renewable Energy platform backed by the Climate Investor One fund and supported by the European Union, supplies renewable power to commercial and industrial customers through an open-access model. Located in Ballari District, the plant will generate over 118GWh of electricity annually while avoiding more than 97,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions. The project also created around 250 construction jobs and will support approximately 45 long-term operational roles. The development highlights innovative blended-finance investment models and scalable solar deployment in emerging markets. It strengthens clean energy access for businesses, supports India’s energy transition, and delivers long-term economic and environmental benefits.

Qair Awards EPC Contract for 46MW UK Solar Project

Qair has awarded an EPC contract to INTEC Energy Solutions for the 46.51MWp Brecks Solar Project in Nottinghamshire, UK. INTEC will manage the full engineering, procurement and construction scope, along with operations and maintenance services for an initial two-year period. The Brecks Solar Project, located near Retford, is expected to generate around 46.08GWh of electricity annually once operational. The development marks Qair’s first UK solar project to enter construction, reflecting growing investment in the country’s renewable energy market. The project also incorporates biodiversity initiatives, including creation of a new pond to support local ecology. The partnership highlights innovation in sustainable solar deployment while delivering customer-focused clean energy, supporting energy security, emissions reduction, and long-term environmental and economic benefits.
