Eurowind Inaugurates 60.2 MW Teiuș Solar Park in Romania

Eurowind Energy has launched the €55 million Teiuș Solar Park in Alba County, Romania, supported by €15 million from the PNRR. The 60.2 MW plant will generate 103.59 GWh annually — enough to power 25,000+ homes — and cut CO₂ emissions by over 37,000 tonnes. It includes a 110/20kV substation and is developing a 116.96 MWh battery storage unit. The 80.5-hectare site supports dual use with livestock grazing. This is Eurowind’s fourth Romanian solar project, expanding its total local portfolio toward 124 MW by 2025.

Low Carbon Secures 140MW of UK Solar PPAs

Low Carbon has signed multiple Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) totaling 140MW of solar capacity in the UK, further advancing its renewable energy portfolio. Notably, a 10-year PPA with Lloyds Banking Group involves the Meadow Solar Farm (49.9MW) in Hampshire and Pepperhill Solar Farm (23MW) in Staffordshire, supplying 50GWh annually — enough to power over 14,000 homes. Additionally, a 15-year PPA with luxury hotel group Maybourne will deliver 32GWh per year from the 25MW Maldon Wycke Solar Farm, powering all of Maybourne’s London hotels. These agreements contribute to Low Carbon’s broader goal of deploying 20GW of renewable capacity by 2030

CEFTX Launches CHARGE to Deliver Solar Jobs and Savings in 19 States

The Clean Energy Fund of Texas (CEFTX) has launched CHARGE, a transformative initiative bringing solar access, green jobs, and energy savings to low-income communities across 19 U.S. states. Backed by the U.S. Department of Energy, CHARGE aims to reach over 50,000 households, focusing on energy justice and economic empowerment. It combines innovative financing, community partnerships, and workforce development to expand distributed solar, reduce energy burdens, and foster local job creation. By deploying solar where it’s most needed, CEFTX is accelerating an equitable and resilient clean energy transition nationwide.
