Envision to Supply 660-MWh Battery Storage System for South Africa’s Naos 1 Hybrid Project

Envision Energy has been selected to supply a 660-MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) for the Naos 1 hybrid renewable energy project in South Africa, marking a significant step in the country’s clean energy transition. The project combines renewable power generation with large-scale battery storage to deliver reliable, flexible, and sustainable electricity while addressing growing energy demand and grid challenges. A key innovation of the project is the integration of advanced battery storage technology with renewable energy assets, enabling excess electricity to be stored and dispatched when needed. This enhances grid stability, improves renewable energy utilization, and helps reduce dependence on conventional fossil fuel-based generation. The 660-MWh storage capacity will provide critical flexibility services and support a more resilient electricity network. Once operational, Naos 1 is expected to strengthen grid reliability, accelerate renewable energy adoption, and contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable energy future for South Africa.

Vesper Energy Breaks Ground on 201-MW Nazareth Solar Project in Texas

Vesper Energy has begun construction of the 201-MWac Nazareth Solar Project in Castro County, Texas, expanding its growing renewable energy portfolio and reinforcing the state’s leadership in utility-scale solar development. The project is expected to generate enough clean electricity to power tens of thousands of homes while supporting regional economic growth and grid reliability. A key innovation of the project is its deployment of advanced utility-scale solar technology designed to maximize energy production and operational efficiency. The solar facility will contribute significantly to Texas’ expanding renewable energy capacity, helping meet rising electricity demand from population growth, industrial expansion, and increasing electrification.

CORNEX Secures 12 GWh of Energy Storage Orders at The smarter E Europe 2026

CORNEX New Energy secured 12 GWh of energy storage orders during The smarter E Europe 2026 exhibition in Munich, demonstrating strong demand for advanced battery storage solutions across Europe and neighboring markets. The achievement highlights the accelerating growth of the global energy storage sector as utilities, businesses, and residential customers seek reliable solutions to support renewable energy integration.  A key innovation showcased by CORNEX was its multi-scenario energy storage portfolio, including the flagship M6 BESS container for utility-scale applications and a range of high-safety residential and commercial battery cells. The company also presented long-cycle battery technologies designed for distributed energy and micro-mobility markets.  Among the major agreements signed were a 3.4-GWh partnership in Germany, a 1.6-GWh project in Israel, and multiple 1-GWh supply agreements targeting residential and commercial customers across Europe. These projects will support grid resilience, renewable energy deployment, and energy independence.
