Casa dos Ventos Approved to Build 300MW Data Centre in Ceara

Casa dos Ventos has received environmental approval to construct a 300MW data centre in Camocim, Ceara, Brazil. The project, named Mandacaru Park, will be developed by Mandacaru DC Serviços de Tecnologia, a company owned by Casa dos Ventos. The planned investment is BRL 4.8 billion. The facility will be powered by renewable energy and integrated into the region’s energy and digital infrastructure. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2025.

Enfinity Global Sells Stakes in 380MW Energy Storage Projects in US and Italy

Enfinity Global has sold minority stakes in 380MW of battery energy storage projects in the United States and Italy to ICG Infra. The portfolio includes 240MW of co-located solar and storage in California and 140MW of stand-alone storage in Southern Italy. The projects are expected to become operational between 2025 and 2026. Enfinity will retain a majority interest and continue to lead development and construction. The deal supports Enfinity’s strategy to expand its energy storage portfolio in key markets.

EDF Starts Construction of 50MW Battery Project in Poland

EDF has started construction of a 50MW/100MWh battery energy storage system in Zwartowo, northern Poland. The project is located at the site of EDF Renewables’ 204MW solar farm. The battery system is expected to begin operations in 2025 and will support grid stability. EDF plans to develop up to 1GW of energy storage in Poland by 2030. The project is being developed through EDF Renewables Polska and aligns with national plans to increase energy storage capacity and integrate variable renewable sources.

Epic Energy Begins Commissioning of 100MW battery energy storage project in South Australia

Epic Energy has started commissioning a 100MW/200MWh grid-scale battery energy storage system near Port Pirie in South Australia. The facility is connected to ElectraNet’s transmission network and is intended to support grid reliability and efficiency. Construction was completed by builder Enerven. The system will be operated by Epic Energy and managed through Greensync’s distributed energy platform. The battery is scheduled to begin full operations later in 2024. The project contributes to South Australia’s energy storage capacity and renewable integration strategy.
