Real Madrid, ELITE Solar Announce Global Solar Partnership
Real Madrid C.F. and ELITE Solar have announced a global strategic partnership aimed at promoting solar energy, sustainability and clean-energy innovation worldwide. Under the agreement, ELITE Solar becomes an Official Partner and Official Solar Panel Supplier of Real Madrid. The companies plan to use their international reach to promote renewable energy through initiatives that engage fans, customers, employees, and communities across key global markets. Founded in 2005, Singapore-headquartered ELITE Solar supplies high-efficiency photovoltaic solutions for utility-scale, commercial, industrial and distributed-generation markets. Its manufacturing footprint includes facilities in Egypt, Indonesia and Vietnam, with US manufacturing also planned. The partnership combines Real Madrid’s global brand reach with ELITE Solar’s photovoltaic expertise to increase clean-energy awareness and support responsible, sustainable growth internationally.
Clarke Energy to Deliver 4 MW Trigeneration Plant in Côte d’Ivoire
Clarke Energy, a Rehlko company, has secured a contract from pasta manufacturer Capraci to design and deliver a 4-MW natural gas-fired trigeneration power plant at its production facility in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. The solution will simultaneously generate electricity, heat and cooling, allowing Capraci to maximise overall energy efficiency while strengthening the resilience of its manufacturing operations. The project is designed to improve energy security, optimise operating costs and enhance environmental performance by making productive use of thermal energy that would otherwise be wasted. The development demonstrates the growing role of distributed energy and high-efficiency trigeneration systems in supporting energy-intensive industrial operations across Africa, particularly where reliable and cost-effective power supply is critical to maintaining production.
LONGi Powers Leading Teams at 2026 American Solar Challenge
LONGi is supplying its high-efficiency Back Contact (BC) solar technology to Belgium’s Innoptus Solar Team and the Netherlands’ Delft Solar Team for the 2026 Electrek American Solar Challenge. Running from July 25 to August 1, the eight-day endurance competition takes solar-powered vehicles from Minnesota to Texas, largely along the historic Route 66 corridor. Innoptus is using customised lightweight and flexible LONGi BC modules designed for curved vehicle surfaces, while Delft has integrated high-efficiency BC solar cell strings into its vehicle. Both teams finished among the top three at the 2025 Bridgestone World Solar Challenge and are the only European teams competing in this year’s event. LONGi views solar racing as a real-world testing platform for improving photovoltaic efficiency, reliability and future solar-mobility applications.
Envision, Kallista Advance 386 MWh French BESS Project Envision Energy and Kallista Energy are developing the 193-MW/386-MWh Neuilly-en-Thelle battery energy storage system (BESS) in France’s Hauts-de-France region. Construction began in early July 2026, with commercial operation targeted before spring 2028. Envision Energy will supply the BESS technology and oversee the project throughout its lifecycle, including site maintenance and battery recycling after 25 years of operation. The system will use lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells manufactured by Envision AESC, supported by its 10-GWh battery gigafactory in Hauts-de-France, operational from June 2025. The project builds on the companies’ earlier Saleux BESS development and aims to strengthen grid flexibility, renewable energy integration and regional energy infrastructure in France.
