Greenlots, a technology solutions provider for electric vehicle networks, is to work with BMW Group Asia to provide more charging stations in Singapore.

The company will be setting up the charging docks on properties owned by real estate developer CapitaLand in the Central Business District (CBD) and beyond. Greenlots will oversee installation, operation and maintenance of the charging stations, a statement says.

The rollout will bring the total number of public EV charging stations in Singapore owned by Greenlots to 47 at 31 locations.

“We are dedicated to accelerating EV adoption in the city-state and a robust charging network needs support from car companies and the real estate sector. We are pleased to be partnering with industry leaders as we bolster open standards-based public EV charging for Singapore,” Lin Khoo, Senior Vice-President of Greenlots, said.

Greenlots has deployed public charging stations at five strategic locations owned by CapitaLand in the central business district as part of the first phase of the project. The second phase is currently being implemented at four of CapitaLand’s shopping malls.
