Danish EV charging software company Monta has opened its U.S. headquarters in Miami, planning to employ 30 staff, including CEO Casper Rasmussen, by 2025.

Monta aims to connect 25,000 commercial charge points in the U.S. by 2025 and increase to 1 million by 2030 as part of a rapid growth strategy to meet rising EV demand.

As the U.S. EV market grows, Monta’s software seeks to improve charging experiences by addressing issues like unsuccessful charges, software glitches, and complex payment systems.

Monta’s U.S. expansion includes a collaboration with Emobi, North America’s largest EV charging ecosystem, instantly connecting its software to over 118,000 charge points in the U.S. and Canada.

With two million monthly charging sessions and partnerships with industry leaders like Siemens, Monta leverages its European success to streamline the U.S. EV infrastructure.

Energize Capital forecasts that the EV charging market will reach $217 billion globally over the next five years, $11 billion of which will go toward software. Monta aims to become a leader in this space.

Both Monta and Emobi share a vision to create accessible, sustainable EV infrastructure, aiding the transition to e-mobility and electrification in North America.
