Electric Wind Power Secures Deal for Hai Anh Wind Farm Project in Vietnam

Electric Wind Power, a subsidiary of Shanghai Electric and a manufacturer of onshore and offshore wind power equipment in China, has inked an agreement to supply its wind turbines for the Hai Anh Wind Farm Project in Quang Tri Province, Vietnam.

This collaboration involves joint venture partners Hai Anh Wind Power Company, IPC Construction Joint Stock Company (IPC E&C), and Asia Industrial Technology Joint Stock Company (ACIT), aiming to bolster the region’s green energy transition.

Covering an expansive area of 855.25 hectares with an installed capacity of 40MW, the Hai Anh Wind Farm Project will deploy eight of Electric Wind Power’s WH5.25-172 wind turbine units, representing a significant stride towards sustainable energy production in Southeast Asia.

The Hai Anh Wind Farm Project marks Electric Wind Power’s maiden venture into Vietnam’s wind power sector and will feature the utilization of its WH5.25-172 wind turbine unit, boasting the largest onshore wind turbine diameter in the Vietnamese market to date.

This contract signing not only reinforces Electric Wind Power’s support for China’s Belt and Road Initiative but also underscores its proactive role in advancing green development globally.

Notably, the company is also engaged in the construction of the Senj Wind Power Project in Croatia, the largest onshore wind power project in the Balkans, showcasing its commitment to transnational energy initiatives.

The timeline for the Hai Anh Wind Farm Project indicates significant progress, with foundation anchor components scheduled for delivery by the end of March 2024. The first batch of four wind turbines is slated for delivery in early June 2024, followed by the second batch in mid-June 2024. Completion of turbine installation and grid connection is anticipated by November 2024.
