Kilroy Realty (KRC) has been named as the North American leader in sustainability by the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB).
GRESB ranked KRC first among 151 North American participants across all asset types, and fifth worldwide out of 637 total participants.
GRESB is a recognized standard for measuring the sustainability performance of real estate companies and funds. Their participation has become a standard practice for world’s fund managers and lproperty companies.
Sustainability is one of the core values of the company and earning this Regional Sector Leader designation demonstrates to investors and tenants that the sustainability program offered is best-in-class, said, John Kilroy, Jr., chairman, president and CEO, KRC.
GRESB also gave KRC its Regional Sector Leader designation for ranking first among all North American office participants and awarded KRC its Green Star designation.
Green Stars are top quartile performers across the GRESB’s seven categories, which include environmental, social and governance performance indicators.
