Yaskawa Electric, a Japanese machinery maker, will acquire The Switch Engineering, a Finnish wind turbine component manufacturer, reported Bloomberg.
Tokyo-based Yaskawa will acquire all the shares of The Switch, except the company’s own shares. Financial terms and the number of shares to be purchased were not disclosed.
The move follows an agreement in 2013 between the two companies to distribute each other’s wind turbine generators and converters, reported the news agency.
