Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas is to manage the 102MW Coram wind project in California. The new owner of the project Renewable Energy Trust (RET) Capital awarded the contract to Vestas.

The project is comprised of thirty-four 3-megawatt V90 turbines of Vestas. RET Capital acquired Coram wind project from BAIF US Renewable Power Holdings in July.

Vestas will serve as the on-site asset manager and will be responsible for surveillance, responding to curtailment requests and reporting to power purchaser Pacific Gas & Electric.

Under the agreement, Vestas will also be responsible for maintenance of “balance-of-plant electrical and meteorological equipment, and wildlife and vegetation management”.
