Vestas to develop 26.4 MW project in Germany

Danish wind power company Vestas has signed a supply, installation, servicing and commissioning contract for a project in Germany.

Vestas will be supplying eight V126-3.3MW wind turbines under the contract it has entered with Windpark Kirchberg.

The 26.4-megawatt wind farm is to be located in Hohenlohe region in northeast Baden Wurttemberg. Vestas will begin delivery of the turbines in the first quarter of 2016.

According to a report, the project will use large diameter steel towers of Vestas with hub height of 137 metres.
