Suzlon commissions 100.8-MW wind project in Rajasthan

Suzlon has commissioned a 100.8-megawatt wind project for investor-owned power business CLP India.

The Indian manufacturer has installed 48 units of its S97- 2.1 MW wind turbines at Tejuva in Rajasthan. The project features “doubly fed induction generator technology”, according to a report published by North American Wind Power.

The turbines feature hub height of 90 meters and Suzlon is to offer operations and maintenance service for 20 years through an integrated service package contract.

The commissioning of the project takes the installed wind power generation capacity of India to 874.2 megawatts.
