OX2 has agreed to acquire from Vattenfall the rights to build the Klevberget wind farm in the municipality of Ange, Vasternorrland County, Sweden.

OX2 will acquire 100 percent of the project from Vattenfall. The wind farm holds a legally binding permit and has an estimated capacity of approximately 150 MW. It will be an addition to OX2’s Swedish project development portfolio for late-stage onshore wind power.

“OX2’s ambition is to begin construction of the Klevberget wind farm during 2022. We are looking forward to working alongside landowners, the Sami community, residents and the municipality,” said Hillevi Priscar, Country Manager Sweden, OX2.

“Vattenfall’s overall strategy remains the same, to develop, construct and operate wind power projects with around 2,000 MW in ongoing construction and around 10,000 MW under development, onshore as well as offshore,” says Daniel Gustafsson, Head of Development onshore Wind Sweden, Vattenfall.
