OX2 wind turbine project

OX2 has won a Polish auction for renewable energy, obtaining support for a wind farm project with a total capacity of 57 MW.

OX2 is currently constructing four wind farms with a total capacity of 129.1 MW and developing onshore wind and solar farms at different development stages in Poland. OX2’s Polish project development portfolio totalled 1 605 MW as of the end of the first quarter 2021.

On June 25, the President of the Energy Regulatory Office announced the results of this year’s last auction for the sale of electricity from RES which was carried out on 8 June 2021. OX2 participates in auctions on an ongoing basis and is part of the company’s ordinary course of business.

Katarzyna Suchcicka, Country Manager, OX2 Poland, said: “We look forward to the implementation of the new projects in Poland and expect a gradual increase of the RES share in the national energy mix.”

Paul Stormoen, CEO OX2, says: “Poland is a fast-growing market for OX2. We have currently four wind farms under construction here, and I am happy that we thanks to the auction can add another Polish wind farm to our extensive project portfolio.”

OX2’s constructions of wind farms are: Sulmierzyce, Grajewo, Żary and Huszlew. All four projects are constructed under bespoke EPC contracts. The Sulmierzyce wind farm will comprise 12 turbines (40 MW), the Grajewo a total of 7 turbines (23.1 MW), Żary 7 turbines (21 MW) and Huszlew 15 turbines (45 MW).
