Vestas has received an 81 MW order from Invenergy for the Pencloe wind energy project in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. The order includes 18 V136-4.5 MW wind turbines, along with their supply, delivery, installation, and commissioning.
Upon completion, Vestas will service the turbines under a multi-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement to ensure optimized performance.
“Vestas’ technology delivers a robust business case for the competitive UK electricity market,” stated James Ian Robinson, Country Manager and Director of Sales UK for Vestas Northern and Central Europe.
The Pencloe Wind Energy Centre will be the largest project developed by Invenergy in the United Kingdom. Turbine delivery is slated to begin in the second quarter of 2025, with the project expected to be fully operational by early 2026.
