General Electric Company (GE) will soon announce the closure of sale of wind turbines worth $604 million to Casa dos Ventos, a Brazilian wind power producer, reported Yahoo Finance.

GE will fulfil the supply 230MW of turbines worth $364.4 million to Casa dos Ventos, earlier contracted by Wobben Wind Power. On completion of the contract in 2015 by GE, Casa dos Ventos will acquire additional megawatts of wind energy. The additional turbines worth $237.7 million will produce 150MW of energy.

Brazil is relying on wind energy to generate 9.5 percent of its installed capacity by 2022. The General Electric will help its subsidiary in Brazil to operate at full capacity in 2015 and 2016.

With the installation of 900 turbines by 2014, the company will dominate 24 percent share of the Brazilian wind market. Casa dos Ventos is expected to generate 600MW from wind turbines by the end of 2018, added the news agency.

General Electric with its diversified technology and financial services manage Power and Water, Oil and Gas, Energy, Aviation, Healthcare, Transportation, Home and Business Solutions and GE Capital.
