Fedders Lloyd to invest Rs 200 crore to enhance wind energy equipments facility at Bharuch

Greentech Lead India: Fedders Lloyd, a subsidiary of
Lloyd Group, is planning to invest Rs 200 crore to expand its newly built
manufacturing facility for wind turbine towers, heavy precision fabrication and
machining facility in Bharuch district, Gujarat.

Fedders Lloyd has already commissioned the first phase of
the unit and acquired desired land for the phased expansion.

According to a report in The Economic Times, the new
facility has the capacity to manufacture wind turbine powers up to 3 MW and
heavy precision fabrication of components up to 80 ton.

Fedder Lloyd plans to roll out its first tower by this
month end and will supply products to GE, Siemens, Gamesa, Vestas, Inox and
Kenersys.

“Renewable energy represents the next big frontier
in the technology industry and wind power one of the fastest growing energy
source in the world. Our new facility is a testament to Fedders Lloyd’s
commitment to contribute towards India’s growing energy revolution and
empowered nation,” said Brij Raj Punj, chairman and managing director,
Fedders Lloyd.

Fedders Lloyd is engaged in executing turnkey projects in
the areas of energy, infrastructure and climatic control equipments with manufacturing
facilities at Noida, Sikandrabad and now Bharuch.
