Yingli Energy, a subsidiary of solar panel manufacturer Yingli Solar, has signed a supply agreement with CFC Group Construction. Yingli Energy will supply panels for total capacity of 170 megawatts for installation at projects in the city of Zhangjiakou, China’s Hebei province.
According to a statement, it is Yingli’s largest solar panel supply agreement to date in China.
As many as 650,000 multicrystalline YGE Series solar panels are to be shipped during the third quarter and fourth quarter of 2015 for the project.
When the projects become operational, they are expected to generate more than 200,000 megawatt-hours of clean energy. It will offset about 120,000 tons of carbon emissions.
