Trina Solar to source modules for Turkey and Ecuador projects

Trina Solar has been selected to supply 11.7 MW of modules for ground-mounted solar PV plants in the emerging solar markets of Turkey and Ecuador.

The agreements show company’s continuous progress in enterprising geographical diversification strategy.

The solar plant situated in the Antalya region of Turkey will have a 5.8 MW total capacity that will utilize 23,650 TSM-PC14 300W 72 cell modules.

The facilities in Ecuador will have a 5.9 MW total capacity utilizing 9,193 of premium TSM-PC05A 250W 60-cell Honey modules.

Recently, Trina Solar completed shipment of module to the project locations.

Turkey and Ecuador are rich in solar resources, offering perfect conditions for solar power plants.

In another development, Trina Solar has agreed to supply 70MW high efficiency modules to a large-scale solar power project in Chile.

According to the agreement, Trina Solar will deliver TSM-PC14 solar modules with an output of between 300W and 310W per panel. Delivery of first batch of modules will start from September 2014.
