Trina Solar is forecast to be the largest module supplier for 2014, replacing Yingli Green Energy, says the new prediction from IHS analysis.
JA Solar is expected to show the highest shipment growth rate among the top 10 solar providers in the world.
The top 10 module suppliers are expected to be almost the same as in 2013, but the rankings of many of them are likely to change, the agency said.
Canadian Solar retained the third position, while Jinko Solar and JA Solar climbed up the ladder one and four levels respectively. Jinko Solar is expected to be at the fourth position while JA Solar is listed at the 6th position.
SunPower, also in the top 10 list, shares the same rankings as Kyocera.
Other providers in the list include Sharp Solar (6th), ReneSola (7th), First Solar (8th) and Hanwha SolarOne (9th).
A significant fact about the top 10 suppliers is that many of them—Yingli, Jinko Solar, JA Solar and Trina Solar– have increased the use of their module manufacturing output for self-developed solar projects.  Cumulative shipments for internal projects from these four companies will reach 1.4 GW this year, the report says.
China, Japan and the U.S. were the top markets for all these big suppliers.
