Wuxi Suntech has launched its new HyPro product line featuring PERC technology.

With PERC, the average mass production cell efficiency of HyPro can reach up to 20.5 percent, Suntech said.

The module will be available globally this July, for both commercial and residential projects. The company first shipped 236kW of the module in March.

Suntech recently also received VDE QT certification for its HyPro 60 cell module.

Suntech HyPro modules are cost efficient and energy efficient, the company claims. They can sustain a higher power output of 200W/m2 compared to conventional modules in weak lighting conditions.

At peak performance, the HyPro 60 cell module can produce an optimal 290W, whereas the HyPro 72 cell module can produce up to a high 345W.

As a four busbar module design, the HyPro has a lower probability of micro-cracks and hotspots, making the modules less susceptible to malfunctions that lead to significant power degradation, the company said.

The HyPro model caters to markets that require high efficiency and durability under dynamic solar conditions such as the UK and Japan.
