Sungrow has supplied its 1+X Modular Inverter solutions for the 902 MWp Vista Alegre solar plant in Minas Gerais, Brazil. Financial details were not disclosed.

Sungrow’s 1+X Modular Inverter offers the flexibility of combining central and string inverter features, allowing for configurations from a single 1.1 MW unit up to 8.8 MW by combining eight units.

Each module has an independent Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) for optimized power generation.

The plant, expected to be operational by 2025, will generate 2 TWh annually, enough to power around 1 million Brazilian households.

This generation will avoid approximately 154,000 tons of COâ‚‚ emissions yearly.

Sungrow will deliver a full package, including inverters, power transformers, and auxiliary systems in a 40-ft container, alongside commissioning, training, and maintenance services.

Ada Li, Vice President of Sungrow Americas said Sungrow sees Brazil’s solar potential as significant in contributing to energy security and carbon reduction, marking an important step in the clean energy transition in the Americas.
