Photovoltaic inverter manufacturer Sungrow has launched a series of inverters that deliver peak efficiency of 99 percent.

The company, which is to showcase the products at Intersolar Munich 2015, an international solar industry exhibition, claims to have developed them through in-house R&D efforts. And the inverters have been certified by Austrian Institute of Technology.

According to a statement issued by Sungrow, its new string inverters — SG20KTL, SG33/40KTL-M and SG80KTL — have power ratings in the 20-kilowatt to 80-kilowatt range.

Sungrow’s central inverter — SG500/630MX and SG2500-MV — with 500 kilowatt power rating would serve commercial buildings and utility-scale applications. The 2.5 megawatt inverter comes with a 20-foot container.

The company has stated that their design makes the products easy to transport and install, and its 4 MPPT design affords high power yield. In 2014 Sungrow launched SG60KTL a 99 percent efficient string inverter.

Sungrow has inverter units with combined capacity of 12 gigawatts currently in operation globally.

Last month Sungrow entered a partnership with solar manufacturer Conergy to supply its inverters to the global commercial and utility scale projects of the latter.

The first project to be supplied under the agreement is a 5-MW photovoltaic solar ground-mount system in the United Kingdom.

Sungrow had stated then that it was to install SG60KTL inverters at the project.
