Registration opens for CPV conference

California-based concentrator photovoltaics (CPV) consortium has announced opening of registration for CPV-11.

The technical conference for “high- and low-CPV components, modules and tracker-based systems will be held at Aix-les-Bains, France, from April 13 to 15.

According to a statement issued by CPV consortium, details of registration formalities are available at www.cpv-11.org or can be obtained by e-mailing a request on info@cpv-11.org.

A discount is being offered on early bird registrations till March 20, the statement said.

This edition of the conference is being hosted by Commissariat à l’énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives, or CEA, which is the French alternative energies and atomic energy commission.

The CPV Laboratory at National Solar Energy Institute (INES) will be the venue and attendees can engage in live discussions and interactive sessions, as well as a technical tour to INES.

The conference should be attended by 400 participants from more than 30 countries, the statement said.

Anis Jouini, Head of Department of Solar Technologies at CEA said the conference will provide a “huge opportunity” for project developers, technologists, financiers, academics and students “to engage in lively discussion of the state-of-the-art CPV cells and modules, trackers, and power plant installations”.
