REFUsol announces $1.5 million investment for inverter production

Greentech Lead America: REFUsol, a manufacturer of
solar inverters, announced an investment of $1.5 million to boost production of
inverters.

REFUsol has also received safety certificates to start
distribution of its solar inverters produced at the Greenville County plant of
its sister company, Prettl Electronics.

Recently, REFUsol announced plans to hire 80 people as it
began production of the REFUsol 12K, 16K, 20K and 024K inverters.

These inverters have officially met the guidelines for
the Buy American provisions of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act
(ARRA) Section 1605.

“The U.S. market is the fastest growing solar
market. It is both essential and imperative that REFUsol supports the U.S. jobs
market and manufactures the products here that will be sold in the United
States,” said Ben Driver, CEO of REFUsol.

REFUsol’s inverters were tested for safety in October of
2011 and received official certificates from Underwriters Laboratories.

REFUsol is one of the top three providers of solar
inverters globally and one of the fastest growing companies in this field.

REFUsol’s solar inverters help customers maximize the
yield of their photovoltaic plants, whether for small roof-top installations or
large-scale solar plants. REFUsol is headquartered in Metzingen, Germany and
has further international offices in Europe, Korea, China, India and the U.S.
as well as sales and service partners in key strategic photovoltaic markets
around the world.
