JA Solar has announced major achievements in the South Pacific market in 2014.
JA Solar supplied modules for several national solar projects in New Zealand, Fiji and Papua New Guinea, receiving good customer feedback for the better performance of its modules.
Most of these solar projects are the first in these regions, creating a pioneering effort for the solar industry development.
The 350KW Auckland Shopping Centre Project is the single largest solar installation in New Zealand so far.
The 1 MW Cook Islands Raratonga Airport Project is also the first solar power station in the Cook Islands.
The project will help the airport to reduce diesel consumption by 400,000 litres per year.
The 1.96MW Tuvalu Islands Project is the first local clean renewable energy off-grid system established by the New Zealand government.
The 128KW Papua New Guinea Centre Tower Project is the first mall rooftop project.
The 550KW Fiji Radisson Hotel Project is the first installation by the Radisson chain of hotels.

This new partnership with Radisson will be the first of many potential installations for the hotel chain throughout the Pacific.
In South –Pacific region, local climate conditions like wind and high temperature demand high PID-resistance, high mechanical load and better low-light performance for modules.
These modules with their reliability, conversion efficiency and better power output can adapt well to South Pacific climate conditions, reducing per watt power generation costs.
As the first effort of this kind in the region, these projects are significant in developing renewable energy and enhancing the sustainable development of the economy in the region.
These developments in the South Pacific region is an initiative step to expand the company into global markets.
