Greentech Lead Europe: Germany has installed about 650 MW
of solar panels in the first two months of the year, almost double the amount
compared with the same period of 2011, the Bundesnetzagentur grid regulator
said in a website statement.
Installations increased to about 450 MW in January and
about 200 MW in February, the regulator said. Germany, the world’s
second-biggest solar market last year, added about 266 MW and 100 MW in the
same period of 2011.
China Sunergy expands market share in Germany
China Sunergy, a solar cell and module manufacturer,
announced a 50 MW sales contract with Bull PowerTech, a subsidiary of Bull
Holding and a renewable energy company with a focus on photovoltaics.
The contract focuses on projects in Europe, and the
shipment is expected to be fully completed by the end of 2012.
China Sunergy recently announced that a 25 MW
solar PV project in Guajarat, India, of which 13 MW of high quality
solar modules were supplied by China Sunergy was successfully connected to the
grid.
