GameChange Solar (GCS), a global provider of single-axis solar tracking solutions for ground-mounted PV plants, has announced a collaboration with Jiangsu Zhenjiang New Energy Equipment.
This partnership signifies a significant leap forward in bolstering local manufacturing capabilities for solar tracker components in the Middle East.
JZNEE will establish a local manufacturing facility in Dammam, KSA, dedicated to producing solar tracker components for GCS’s Genius Tracker. With a production capacity of up to 3 GW, expandable to 5 GW, the facility aims to commence operations by June 2024. This initiative aligns with the escalating local content requirements in the region, reflecting the shared commitment of both companies to foster renewable energy expansion in the Middle East.
As the exclusive local partner, GCS will ensure the delivery of top-quality Genius Tracker components for upcoming projects across the Middle East. GCS will supply non-steel components such as actuators, node controllers, and drive systems, maintaining the highest standards of quality and reliability for its solar tracker systems.
Moreover, GCS will extend comprehensive after-sales support, including commissioning, software, and service, reaffirming its dedication to customer satisfaction and project excellence throughout the Middle East.
The Genius Tracker product from GCS has gained traction in the region, with deployments in prominent solar projects like the Abydos Kom Ombo 560 MW project in Egypt. Owned by AMEA Power, this project is set to deliver electricity generated from the solar facility to the Egyptian Electricity Transmission under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
