China Sunergy announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, CEEG (Nanjing) Renewable Energy, has won a 30 MW contract from Enrich Energy, an integrated solar energy solutions provider in India.

Enrich Energy will deploy China Sunergy’s multi-crystalline modules in a ground-mounted project in India’s newly formed Telangana State. Enrich focuses on large scale private solar parks across India.

The modules will be shipped from China Sunergy’s Shanghai plant, and the shipment is expected to be completed by the end of January 2015.

China Sunergy has established a market presence in India. Earlier last year, the company shipped 29 MW solar modules to Larsen & Toubro, a solar developer in India, becoming one of the strategic supplier for that company.

The deal from Enrich India builds on the success of Sunery’s market activities in India, according to officials.

China Sunergy has been working with Enrich for the past few years, and the company is satisfied with the dedicated team and comprehensive product offerings from China Sunergy, said Ankit Kanchal, director of Enrich Energy.

The Telangana project is the first private solar park in India for Enrich. The company has signed Power Purchase Agreement with the State Utility.

Tingxiu Lu, chairman and CEO of China Sunergy, said, “We appreciate their pioneering model of turnkey solutions for small and large-scale solar investors in India, and we look forward to jointly capturing additional market opportunities in the region.”

Lu added the Asia market remains its strategic priority and the company hopes to gain more business opportunities in the region in 2015.
