Tata Power partners with Noida International Airport for renewable energy supply

Tata Power has committed Rs 550 crore to supply solar and wind power and develop smart energy infrastructure for Noida International Airport.

Tata Power Trading Company will provide 10.8 MW of wind power, while Tata Power Renewable Energy will establish a 13 MW onsite solar plant to supply clean energy to the airport.

Tata Power will create and maintain critical electrical and dry utility infrastructure for NIA, with a 25-year operation and maintenance agreement to support the airport’s smart energy needs.

Tata Power CEO Praveer Sinha emphasized the goal of enabling Net Zero Airports, positioning NIA as a model for sustainable airport energy solutions.

Christoph Schnellmann, CEO of NIA, highlighted the importance of renewable energy in their vision for environmentally conscious airport operations.

Tata Power sees this partnership as a template for implementing renewable energy at future airports in India, with over 200 new airports expected to be built in the coming decades.
