Aker Horizons reveals pipeline of wind and solar assets

Aker Horizons said its asset value rose to NOK 15.8 billion in the first quarter of 2023, from NOK 15.1 billion at year-end 2022. The company had a cash position of NOK 3.8 billion and an undrawn credit facility of EUR 500 million, giving available liquidity of NOK 9.5 billion.

Aker Horizons said its pipeline of wind and solar assets have reached 3.6 GW in Latin America, 3.1 GW in Asia Pacific, 0.9 GW in Europe and 13.1 GW in Africa.

Aker Horizons said its pipeline of wind and solar assets touched 2.6 GW of Offshore Wind, 9.6 GW of Onshore Wind and 8.4 GW of Solar PV.

“Momentum for the green energy transition has gathered pace, fueled by regulatory developments and support scheme mechanisms in the EU and other regions,” Kristian Rokke, CEO of Aker Horizons, said in its earnings report.

“This translates into accelerated market activity for our portfolio, as reflected by LOIs signed by Aker Carbon Capture and Aker Horizons Asset Development with major European industrial customers in recent months.”

Aker Horizons’ 2025 ambitions include: NOK 100 billion in green investments; 10 GW in renewable power capacity; and 25 Mt of CO2e p.a. emissions reduction.
