ContourGlobal Commissions 10 MW Solar Plant in Chile
ContourGlobal has started operations at a new 10-megawatt (MW) solar photovoltaic (PV) plant in Chile. This facility is part of the company’s strategy to expand its renewable energy portfolio in Latin America. The plant is expected to generate approximately 23 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of electricity annually, supplying power to around 11,000 homes.
Greening Energy and Atlantica Form Joint Venture for 1GW Solar and Storage Projects in the US
Greening Energy, through its US subsidiary Greening USA, has partnered with UK-based Atlantica Sustainable Infrastructure to develop a 1-gigawatt (GW) portfolio of solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects in the United States. In this joint venture, Greening USA will advance the projects to a ready-to-build stage, while Atlantica will provide financial support. Upon reaching this stage, both companies will decide whether to retain the assets or sell them to third parties.
JSW Neo Energy Completes ₹12,468 Crore Acquisition of 4.7 GW Renewable Energy Platform from O2 Power
JSW Neo Energy, a subsidiary of JSW Energy, has finalized the acquisition of a 4.7-gigawatt (GW) renewable energy platform from O2 Power for an enterprise value of ₹12,468 crore. This acquisition increases JSW Energy’s total installed capacity to 12.2 GW, with renewable energy now comprising 54% of its portfolio. The deal includes 4,100 MW of utility-scale renewable projects and 596 MW of commercial and industrial capacity across resource-rich states. Approximately 3,722 MW of this capacity is secured under power purchase agreements, with an additional 974 MW awaiting contract finalization. This strategic move aligns with JSW Energy’s goal to achieve 20 GW of capacity by 2030.
Audi India Expands ‘Charge My Audi’ Initiative to Over 6,500 Charging Points
Audi India has significantly expanded its electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure under Phase II of the ‘Charge My Audi’ initiative, adding over 5,500 new charging points. This expansion brings the total network to more than 6,500 charging points across the country. Over 75 percent of these locations are equipped with DC fast- charging technology, enhancing convenience and reducing charging times for Audi e-tron owners. To achieve this, Audi India has partnered with 16 new EV infrastructure providers, strategically placing chargers along highways, urban centers, and commercial areas to support the growing demand for luxury EVs in India.
