Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has secured a Rs 3,500 crore order from Adani Power to set up a 1,600 MW thermal power plant (TPP) in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
The scope of the order includes the supply of critical equipment such as the boiler, turbine generator, and associated auxiliaries, along with control and instrumentation. BHEL will also supervise the erection and commissioning of the plant.
According to the company, the boilers and turbine generators will be manufactured at BHEL’s plants in Trichy and Haridwar, respectively.
