Yingli Green Energy obtains certificate for contract for foreign engineering projects in China

Yingli Green Energy, a vertically integrated photovoltaic (PV) module manufacturer in the world, known under the brand name “Yingli Solar”, announced that its Chinese subsidiary Yingli Energy (China) Company has obtained the Certificate for Contracting Foreign Engineering Projects from governmental authority of People’s Republic of China.

The certificate formally authorizes Yingli China to enter into contracts for large-scale PV engineering projects overseas. It also permits Yingli China to dispatch workers internationally in order to fulfill such contracts.

“This certificate lays a foundation for us to pursue engineering contracts for PV plants in international markets,” said Liansheng Miao, chairman and chief executive officer of Yingli Green Energy.

Headquartered in Baoding, China, Yingli Green Energy has more than 20 regional subsidiaries and branch offices and has distributed more than 7,000 MW PV modules to customers worldwide.

Yingli Green Energy was the first solar module manufacturer to obtain TUV Rheinland’s JIS Q 8901 certificate, which certifies that Yingli modules meet the strict reliability requirements of Japanese consumers

Recently Yingli Green Energy Japan entered into a distribution agreement with XSOL, a Japanese solar energy company and full-service PV system provider, to sell and promote YGE 60 Cell Series modules since the middle of January 2014 in Japanese market.
