Nord/LB Provides €74 Million Financing for 97.5 MW Solar Project in Northern Italy
German lender Nord/LB has arranged €74 million in financing for the 97.5 MWp Aussa Corno solar project being developed by MSE and Envalue in northern Italy. Announced November 2, the project is located in San Giorgio di Nogaro within the Aussa Corno industrial area of Friuli Venezia Giulia. Annual electricity generation is projected at approximately 115,783 MWh. Construction has begun following several years of development, with completion targeted for Q2 2028. The project has secured a 20-year contract for difference under Italy’s FER X renewable-energy support mechanism. The financing represents Nord/LB’s second Italian solar transaction involving MSE and Envalue.
Kourbe Secures €47.5 Million Financing for 170 Rooftop and Solar Carport Projects in France
French solar investment company Kourbe has secured €47.5 million in senior debt financing for a distributed photovoltaic portfolio across France. Announced November 2, the financing will support the development and construction of nearly 170 rooftop and solar carport installations with combined planned capacity of 42.5 MWp. The portfolio focuses on electricity generation from existing buildings and parking areas rather than large greenfield solar farms. The financing provides capital for multiple installations, allowing construction to progress across separate sites. Individual project capacities, electricity offtake arrangements and commissioning schedules were not disclosed. The transaction adds to financing activity in France’s commercial and industrial solar market, where projects are increasingly developed across portfolios of smaller installations.
PNE Sells 250 MW Solar Project in South Africa, Retains Development Role Until Financial Close
German renewable-energy developer PNE has completed the sale of a 250 MW photovoltaic project in South Africa’s Free State province. Announced November 2, the buyer is a major South African independent power producer whose identity was not disclosed. PNE South Africa will continue providing development services until the project reaches financial close. The transaction transfers the project to a new investor while retaining PNE’s involvement during the next development stage. As of June 2026, PNE’s South African pipeline comprised approximately 2 GW of solar projects and 2.8 GW of wind developments. The company did not disclose the sale consideration, electricity offtaker, construction timetable or expected commissioning date.
