Zelestra Secures €147 Million to Develop 237 MW Solar Portfolio in Spain

Spanish renewable energy company Zelestra has secured nearly €147 million in green financing to develop a 237 MWdc solar portfolio in Spain. The financing package includes senior debt from a consortium of banks and is supported by a 10-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Graphic Packaging International, a global sustainable packaging company. The portfolio comprises multiple projects located in Castilla–La Mancha and is expected to begin operations in 2025. Tandem PV Appoints Clemens Hofbauer as VP of Manufacturing

Tandem PV has named Clemens Hofbauer as Vice President of Manufacturing to lead U.S. production of high-efficiency perovskite solar panels. With 25+ years of experience at firms like SunPower and Sila Nanotechnologies, Hofbauer brings deep expertise in scaling solar and battery operations. His appointment follows Tandem PV’s $50 million Series A funding to build a U.S.-based commercial facility. The company’s tandem solar panels, combining perovskite and silicon, offer up to 30 percent more efficiency than standard panels. Hofbauer aims to boost American clean energy leadership through advanced solar manufacturing.

Gstar Launches First N-Type Solar Module in the Philippines

Gstar has launched the Philippines’ first N-type solar module at its Subic facility. The module uses N-type TOPCon cell technology, known for higher power output and lower degradation rates. This launch supports the country’s renewable energy goals and local manufacturing efforts. Gstar operates a vertically integrated supply chain with facilities in Thailand, Laos, and Indonesia. The company plans to scale production and expand its presence in Southeast Asia. This development is part of Gstar’s efforts to support solar energy adoption and reduce reliance on non-renewable power sources in the region.

Sungrow Introduces Modular EV Charger IDC480E-C at Power2Drive 2025

Sungrow introduced the IDC480E-C, a modular EV charger, at Power2Drive 2025 in Munich. The charger uses 40kW power modules and supports output from 240kW to 480kW. It includes Isolated Air-Cooling Technology and offers flexible dispenser configurations, such as four connectors with one air-cooled dispenser or three with one liquid-cooled dispenser. The charger integrates with Sungrow’s Beyond Charging Solution, combining solar, storage, and EV charging. AI-based lifecycle management extends service life and lowers operational costs. The product supports grid stability and continuous operation during outages through system integration.
