Rezolv Energy Starts Trial Operations at 192 MW VIFOR Wind Farm in Romania

Rezolv Energy has moved Phase 1 of its 192 MW VIFOR wind farm in Buzău County, Romania, into the trial-operation stage, marking an important milestone toward commercial generation. Testing allows the developer to verify turbines, electrical infrastructure, grid connection and control systems before full operation. VIFOR is among the significant new wind developments being built in Romania as the country expands renewable generation and attracts private clean-energy investment. Once operational, the 192 MW facility will add substantial zero-carbon electricity capacity to Romania’s grid and support corporate and utility demand for renewable power. The start of trials indicates that major construction and installation work for Phase 1 is substantially complete, moving the project from development and construction toward revenue-generating operation.

Sif Completes 100 Monopiles for 1.44 GW Baltyk 2 and Baltyk 3 Offshore Wind Farms

Sif has completed load-out of the final foundations for Equinor and Polenergia’s 1.44 GW Baltyk 2 and Baltyk 3 offshore wind projects in the Polish Baltic Sea. The Dutch manufacturer fabricated 100 monopile foundations and 100 transition pieces, completing a major supply-chain milestone as offshore construction progresses. Foundations represent one of the largest and most logistics-intensive components of offshore wind development, requiring heavy steel fabrication, specialised ports and installation vessels. Completion of all 100 units enables installation activity to advance across the two Polish projects. Baltyk 2 and 3 form a major part of Poland’s emerging offshore wind sector and will contribute significant renewable generation capacity as the country reduces reliance on coal and develops a domestic Baltic Sea offshore supply chain.

Pacifico Energy Selected to Develop 2.13 GW Jindo Offshore Wind Cluster in South Korea

Pacifico Energy Korea has been selected as sole developer for Phase 2 of the 2.13 GW Jindo Integrated Cluster offshore wind development off South Korea. The mandate covers the Manho and Jindo Baram offshore wind projects, giving Pacifico responsibility for progressing one of the country’s largest planned offshore wind clusters. At 2.13 GW, the development could become a major contributor to South Korea’s renewable-power expansion while supporting investment in ports, marine engineering, turbine installation and grid infrastructure. The selection is particularly significant because South Korea is seeking to turn its extensive offshore wind pipeline into construction-ready projects while developing domestic supply chains. Pacifico will now advance permitting, engineering, stakeholder engagement and commercial arrangements required to move the projects toward investment and construction.
