Masdar-Led Consortium to Build Oman’s First Solar and Battery Project

A consortium led by Masdar has been selected to develop Oman’s first integrated solar and battery storage project, marking a milestone in the country’s clean energy transition. The project combines large-scale solar generation with battery energy storage systems (BESS), supporting grid stability and reducing dependence on fossil fuels. The initiative aligns with Masdar’s strategy to expand globally while driving innovation in hybrid renewable solutions. Investment in advanced PV and BESS technologies ensures reliable, round-the-clock clean power. Customer focus lies in delivering sustainable electricity to meet rising demand in Oman. Benefits include emissions reduction, energy diversification, and stronger energy security. This pioneering project sets the stage for Oman’s renewable future and accelerates its decarbonization agenda.

Ampeack Energy Begins Construction of 120-MW Battery in the UK

Ampeack Energy has commenced construction of a 120-MW battery energy storage system (BESS) in the UK, reinforcing the nation’s transition to flexible and resilient power infrastructure. The project reflects the company’s strategy to expand into large-scale storage, enabling greater integration of renewables and improving grid balancing. Backed by significant investment, the system uses advanced storage technology to provide frequency regulation, peak shaving, and energy trading services. Customer benefits include enhanced grid stability, reduced risk of blackouts, and better alignment with net-zero targets. Innovation lies in leveraging scalable, high-capacity battery platforms to meet growing energy demand. The project demonstrates the UK’s leadership in storage adoption and Ampeack’s commitment to supporting clean energy reliability and security through infrastructure.

Lhyfe Becomes Europe’s Largest RFNBO-Certified Green Hydrogen Producer with Four Sites in France and Germany

Lhyfe has secured RFNBO (Renewable Fuel of Non-Biological Origin) certification for all four of its green hydrogen production sites — Bouin, Buleon, Bessieres, and Schwabisch Gmund — confirming its leadership in Europe’s renewable hydrogen market. The certification, the EU’s strictest standard under the Renewable Energy Directive (RED III), verifies that the company’s hydrogen is 100 percent renewable and meets stringent environmental and traceability criteria. With a combined installed capacity of 21 MW and the ability to produce up to 8.3 tonnes of green hydrogen per day, Lhyfe is now Europe’s largest RFNBO-certified producer and the only certified producer in France.
