Hyperstrong & LEAG Partner on 1.6 GWh Battery Storage in Germany

Hyperstrong and LEAG have formed a strategic partnership to develop a 1.6 GWh battery energy storage system (BESS) at LEAG’s Boxberg power plant site in Saxony, Germany. The project represents a major investment in Germany’s evolving energy storage landscape and supports the transition from coal to renewables. Leveraging innovative large-scale lithium-ion technology, the system will provide grid stabilisation, peak shaving and flexibility services essential for integrating more solar and wind. The collaboration is strongly customer-focused, aiming to enhance energy reliability for utilities, businesses and regional consumers as renewable penetration rises. Once operational, the BESS will deliver significant benefits, including improved grid resilience, reduced emissions and support for LEAG’s long-term plan to build a green energy hub.

Neoen to Sell 760 MW French Renewables Portfolio to Plenitude

Neoen has agreed to sell a 760-MW portfolio of French renewable assets to Plenitude, marking a major strategic transaction in Europe’s clean-energy market. The portfolio includes operational, under-construction and ready-to-build solar, wind and battery storage projects, reflecting strong investor appetite for diversified low-carbon infrastructure. The deal demonstrates Neoen’s investment discipline, enabling the company to recycle capital into its global development pipeline. Plenitude gains high-quality assets that strengthen its French footprint and support its customer-centric goal of delivering more stable, green power across Europe. The transaction highlights the benefits of scale, accelerated energy transition and improved grid flexibility through integrated storage. It also underscores the sector’s ongoing innovation, particularly in hybrid assets and advanced storage solutions.

Zenith Energy to Acquire 12 MWp Solar Project in Italy

Zenith Energy has agreed to acquire a 12-MWp solar project in Italy from an undisclosed developer, expanding its European renewable energy portfolio. The project, located in the southern region of Puglia, is in an advanced development stage and is expected to enter construction soon. The investment strengthens Zenith’s strategy of scaling distributed and utility-scale solar assets across key EU markets. The acquisition highlights the company’s customer-focused approach, aiming to deliver reliable, low-cost clean power to Italian consumers and industrial clients. It also supports Italy’s broader renewable energy targets by adding new capacity that reduces carbon emissions and grid dependence on fossil fuels. Once operational, the project will provide long-term sustainability and economic benefits to the region.
