Toyota’s first commercial zero-emission hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle (FCV) will be displayed at the 2014 Aspen Ideas Festival.

The sedan will be priced approximately 7 million yen in Japan (approximately $68,000).

First unveiled in Japan recently, the vehicle will make its North American debut at the annual conference on Friday, June 27.

In a press conference held in Japan, the exterior design of the FCV pre-production prototype was revealed by officials. Interior features, vehicle’s name, volume and full specifications will be released later.

Toyota said the FCV will be available for buying in the Japan market before April 2015, and then by summer 2015 in Europe.

Bob Carter, senior vice president, automotive operations, Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A, said the FCV can produces sufficient electrical power to spin the electric motor for 300 miles on a single fill in three to five minutes.

The car can be made available to lot of customers at a reasonable price, Carter added.

Toyota is also planning to provide customers the facility to hydrogen refueling stations when the vehicle arrives in California.

In May, the company announced a financial tie up with First Element Fuels for long-term operation and maintenance of 19 hydrogen refueling stations across the state.
