Tesla institutes pop-up store at Bluewater

Land Securities have announced the installation of Tesla pop-up store at Bluewater, the retail destination in UK.

The pop-up is the company’s first in the South East, located in the Winter Garden car park outside M&S.

The facility will be open till 21 December providing Bluewater’s guests with the opportunity to test drive the new all-electric Tesla Model S.

The store also includes a Model S rolling chassis as well as a Model S design studio. Tesla has experiential space in Bluewater’s lower Rose Gallery, with environmental graphics directing guests to the Winter Garden car park.

In addition, Tesla has installed six Supercharger bays in the lower yellow car park at the entrance to the Plaza Welcome Hall, which will be a permanent facility to Bluewater.

These superchargers form part of Tesla’s network in the UK that presently comprises of 11 locations. Tesla plans to cover entire UK and Ireland by the end of next year.

Bluewater and Tesla share a commitment to innovation and experience, which makes this a great partnership, noted, Russell Loveland, portfolio director, Land Securities.

The pop-up and in-mall experiential movement enhances theatre for Bluewater’s guests, helping the Tesla brand promotion, said Loveland.

Bluewater is seeking companies and technologies to add to the unique offer provided by Tesla combined with the Supercharging points, he added.

Tesla is joining seven other companies like White Stuff, American Eagle, Steamer Trading Cookshop and Bill’s Restaurant, in opening in time for Christmas in addition to Bluewater.
