XCharge North America and Grensol Group Partnership

XCharge North America, a provider of DC fast charging and battery-integrated EV solutions, announced its partnership with Grensol Group to promote sustainable electric travel by reducing waste from EV charging equipment, such as cables and modules, at the end of their life.

XCharge NA will send broken or worn EVSE materials to Grensol and its research partner Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) to develop an industrial recycling solution. Grensol will use its metals recovery and photolysis technologies, along with others being studied, to process the waste and create raw materials for reuse in a circular economy.

Autel Energy Powers Electric Vehicle Fast-Charging Hub

Autel Energy, a provider of electric vehicle charging solutions, announced the completion of the first EV charging hub in the Eastern U.S., located in Deerfield, Massachusetts. This project was a collaboration between the Town of Deerfield, Rivermoor Energy, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), and Rexel Energy Solutions, Autel Energy’s partner.

The hub features Autel’s MaxiCharger DC HiPower solution with a maximum output of 640 kW. This technology enables ultra-fast charging, powering an EV in about 20 minutes, addressing concerns about charging speed and range anxiety.  These units are built at Autel’s Greensboro, NC, facility.
