NV Energy, electricity provider for Nevada, has signed a deal with Caesars Entertainment, a casino entertainment provider, for the installation of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at 13 Caesars’ resorts and casinos.

With this installment now all of Caesars’ Northern and Southern Nevada resorts and casinos have functional EV charging stations. A total of 48 charging ports are already operational at various areas for Caesars’ guests at free of cost.

Caesars is on an expansion spree to make more EV charging stations available at its domestic resorts, with new facility planned for Harrah’s New Orleans Hotel and Casino, Harrah’s Philadelphia, Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City and Horseshoe Casino Hammond.

The EV charging stations are provided by ChargePoint, which boasts a vast network of EV stations across the country.
Caesars’ stations are provided with Level 2 charging ports that accommodate hybrids and all-electric models. They are also equipped with industry standard J1772 plugs. The vehicles get charged in less time compared to other EV stations.

Drivers can locate Caesars’ EV charging stations on ChargePoint Network available through mobile app, web or car navigation units.

ChargePoint is promoting EV stations by providing support to install EV charging locations at accessible points across the country. Already they are operating 17,000 ports in various countries including North America, Europe and Australia.

EV station projects are an essential stride towards a future of green transportation, said Eric Dominguez, corporate director of facilities, engineering and sustainable operations, Caesars Entertainment.
